So, I am officially off work now (not the original plan, but…) and thought that I would take some time to set up a blog. A few of my friends do blogs for their families and it is a great way to see what is going on in their lives, and to see how much their kids have changed and what antics they are up to now.
So, as the big day approaches - 4 more weeks – we thought we would look back and remember what it’s all been like.
It hasn’t always been easy…
Severe morning sickness, severe heartburn (throughout the whole pregnancy)….
A few trips to the hospital – more than I would like to have had….
A baby who is shy and didn’t want to show us anything – his heart or his bits….
Severe swelling of hands and feet…
You name the symptom I have had it….
But when you see this it is all worth it….

So, it might not always be easy, but it is worth it.
Other good things that have happened…
We welcomed Emily Skye Mackie into the family – April 5th 2008 – she was 7lbs 12oz
Emily, Kate and Stewart are all doing well. Emily is growing- I haven’t see her yet, but Stewart keeps me posted. She is doing well and is up to 8lbs 2oz.
Our cousin Andrena is expecting her 3rd… April 29th.
Our ‘little’ guy is healthy and growing well, he is now measuring in the 75th percentile – he was measuring 6.5 pounds (roughly) at our last ultrasound April 14th.
He has finally turned and is positioned the right way.
My mum and aunt Christine hosted a lovely shower for me. It was a great afternoon and we were spoiled by all our friends and family – thank you. – I have posted pictures on flickr – click on recently uploaded photos.
So, everything is good. Hopefully, nothing too eventful will happen between now and the actual arrival of our baby, but as the past 8 months or so have proven, nothing is evey easy and straightforward when it comes to Brett and I.
